Personal Portraits ~ Vilma ~ Temple Bar ~ St. Stephens Green ~ Dublin. Ireland.
January 1, 2014
As the hot weather appeared for few days, I arranged number of shoots with models. In the series below, I met up with my good friend Vilma that I just love to practice with. Very relaxing afternoon with a lot of laugh and chat. Creating images is just an addition to a day full of enjoyment. Strolling around streets of Dublin was really interesting. I also wanted to practice few things. First of all, creative use of light, descriptive, not so obvious. I also wanted to practice the creating a story through the images. Creating a whole piece told from start to finish is something that I find really challenging, creating a link between every single image. I also love to prove, that good photograph is not about photoshop skills. I always make my personal challenge to keep retouching under 1 minute per image. Of course, it is all down to good makeup, good skin, interesting light and a tiny bit of skill from a person behind the camera. We live in the age where industry is simply over saturated with the photoshop. Keep it simple, enjoy the shooting, get everything right in camera. I prefer to be out shooting, meeting new people, practicing, failing, learning from mistakes, rather than sitting in front of a computer for hours, retouching mistakes or doing enhancements which makes images look unreal. And you?
